Nice place near the centre of town in a quiet street. Positive: We needed to stay close to the centre of Potters Bar so location was ideal. If you are looking to spend time in London this is a good spot as the railway station is a 10-15min walk and its possible to get into Kings Cross in 25 mins. The owners were lovely people very welcoming and always asked if everything was OK when we saw them. Parking for two cars easily, lovely area for walking round, feels very safe. Kitchen had everything you need for a short stay didnt have a full oven but had a microwave and two hot plates. Fridge and washing machine came in handy. There are a good range of pubs and restaurants within 10-15 min walk. The French place on Darkes Lane is great if you are looking for a nice meal. We had a dog with us (wasnt planned) and owners were very accommodating and allowed us to have the dog with us. We had a problem with the wifi (see below) as the owners were let down by a new supplier. They provided a sim enabled router which solved the problem. Both bedrooms had large beds and there was plenty of room in them. Space to hang up clothes and drawers for other items which were ideal for a two week stay. Nice people and nice place which we would have no issue recommending to family who may be staying in the area in the future. Negative: The TV needed good wifi to allow streaming and the owners were let down by their new fibre supplier. They worked hard to get the issue resolved and ended up putting in a sim enabled router but then the TV went on the blink. We sorted a workaround and owner is replacing the TV after we left.

Gem of a house in a great location Positive: Very well appointed with everything needed for a home away from home. Easy to park. Good, central location, but in a quiet road. Owners were super friendly. Bed was very comfortable, I slept really well all week. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Good communications-easy to check in and out. Thank you- I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others. Negative: Being super picky- could have done with a bigger quilt! But really not a deal breaker, I still slept very well.

Utterly abysmal property Positive: Nothing. Negative: It smelt terrible the moment you entered the building. The toilet seat was left up and had poo smeared on the underside. The sink and mirror were dirty, the bedroom had food or drink splashed up the wall. You are staying in someone's garage, only one room has a window that you can open, the smoke alarm was covered with a piece of paper stuck to the ceiling with plasters, and you can hear someone walking back and forth above you all the time, there are really creaky floorboards and you can hear talking a lot. We stayed just over an hour purely because of speaking to Booking.com's customer service. In the end I took my son and we went and stayed in a hotel because it was such an awful place. Don't believe other reviews, it's not as described and not worth the money at all. It may be in a quiet location, but it's definitely not quiet in the building. Absolutely the worst place I've ever booked and have requested a full refund.
